Fade Tattoo Removal

Process & Procedure

The Process

The laser light passes through the top layer of skin, the targeted ink particles absorb the energy which shatter into small pieces so that the body is able to break the ink down naturally.

Depending on the size of the tattoo treatments usually take between 5 – 20 minutes.

On average, tattoos take between 5 and 15 treatments. Things such as color, type of ink, skin color, location, and age of tattoo effect how many treatments you will need.

When you come in for a consultation we can look at your tattoo and assess this with you.

Best results are noted when treatments are performed every 8-12 weeks apart.

Most people will note a result within 1-3 treatments depending on ink, size and location of tattoo.

Minimal change will be noted directly after the first treatment. Some people may even see their tattoo get darker with their first treatment. Since everyone responds at a different rate mainly due to the individual immune system response.

Multiple sessions are needed to completely remove the tattoo, for best results follow clinic staff’s instructions and advice.

Discomfort

Pain tolerance levels differ dramatically. We take precautions for minimal amount of discomfort associated with treatments, this is so your treatment is quick and effective.

Optional use of topical numbing creams prior to your treatment, you may numb the area with a topical anesthetic cream, available over the counter at any pharmacy.

Panadol: some patients find that by taking 2 x panadol 30-60mins prior to their treatment helps pain tollerance.

Ice packs can be used to cool the skin during the treatment.
